The Cincinnati Bengals have added a player with a truly unique resume—one that includes a starring role in a Hollywood blockbuster alongside LeBron James.

Undrafted free agent Ceyair Wright signed with the Bengals following the 2026 NFL Draft and recently participated in rookie minicamp. But before lacing up his cleats, the defensive back was busy on a very different kind of field: the film set.

Wright, who played LeBron James' older son in Space Jam: A New Legacy, brings a rare blend of athletic and acting experience to the NFL. Just before reporting to minicamp, he wrapped up work on a TV pilot called Southern Bastards, where he played a football player—a role that feels closer to reality than fiction.

While his Hollywood credits are intriguing, Wright is no stranger to the football field. He split his college career between USC and Nebraska, showing steady improvement each season. At USC in 2022, he recorded 28 tackles and an interception during his redshirt freshman year. He then transferred to Nebraska, where he posted 39 tackles, a sack, and two interceptions in 2024, followed by 29 tackles and five passes defensed in 2025.

Wright's journey from the big screen to the gridiron is almost unheard of in the NFL, but his focus remains on earning a roster spot in Cincinnati. Whether he's delivering lines or locking down receivers, Wright knows how to perform under the spotlight.
