The Chicago Bears have signed Georgia Bulldogs All-SEC long snapper Beau Gardner to a contract as an undrafted free agent. Gardner will compete for the Bears' starting long snapper role this season.

Gardner did not receive an invitation to the 2026 NFL combine, but he still got a chance to put his skills on display. The 6-foot-5, 250-pound long snapper began his college career with the UCLA Bruins. Gardner transferred to Georgia for the 2024 and 2025 college football seasons.

Gardner is a two-time coaches first-team All-SEC selection and was consistent throughout his time at Georgia. He was part of an elite Georgia special teams unit. Gardner did not have any bad snaps during his time with the Bulldogs and helped kicker Peyton Woodring convert 17 of his 19 field goal attempts during the 2025 season.

Gardner ends his Georgia career as a back-to-back SEC champion. Now, he's trying to make an NFL roster as a long snapper.
