The Georgia Bulldogs are making a strong push for a talented cornerback who recently pulled his commitment from Alabama. Three-star recruit Nash Johnson II has announced his top six college choices, and the Dawgs made the cut alongside Clemson, Auburn, Miami, Tennessee, and Ole Miss. Johnson is set to make his final decision on June 24, giving Georgia fans plenty of reason to keep a close eye on this recruitment.

Standing at 6-foot and 170 pounds, Johnson plays his high school ball at McEachern High School in Powder Springs, Georgia, making him a local prospect the Bulldogs are eager to keep in-state. He's currently ranked as the No. 58 cornerback in the nation and the No. 67 recruit in Georgia, according to 247Sports. With the 2027 class still taking shape, Johnson's commitment could be a major boost for the program.

Georgia's need for cornerback depth has become urgent after recent recruiting setbacks. The Bulldogs watched five-star cornerback Donte Wright flip to Miami and four-star corner Jerry Outhouse choose UCLA. They also missed out on four-star safety Kailib Dillard, who committed to Florida, and four-star cornerback Chase Johnson, who picked Virginia Tech. Those losses have dropped Georgia to the No. 27 recruiting class nationally with just seven commits in the 2027 cycle.

Despite the slow start, there's still time for the Bulldogs to turn things around. Johnson's decision could be a key piece of that puzzle, though early predictions favor Auburn. Both 247Sports and Rivals have the Tigers as the frontrunners, but Georgia's coaching staff will be working hard to change that narrative before June 24.

For now, Dawg fans can stay hopeful as Johnson continues to weigh his options. Whether he ends up in Athens or elsewhere, this recruitment is a reminder of how competitive the SEC landscape remains—and how every commitment counts in building a championship roster.
