Moises Caicedo’s new contract was one of the few pieces of good news to come out of Chelsea in the last few weeks, but even he wasn’t able to help the Blues to a good results last night.
They were beaten 1-0 by Manchester United, and after the game the Ecuador star spoke about the result.
“For sure everybody is disappointed because we wanted to win. We created a lot of chances but we couldn’t get the result,” Caicedo said on the club’s official website.
“But we are looking forward because we have five games left and five games to win, to try to get in the Champions League.”
The Blues conceded a soft goal and then rained chances on the opposition without any luck. Caicedo saw that as a positive.
“We had the opportunities to score but we didn’t have the luck tonight. Other things were good, we fought until the end to get the three points. Everyone is disappointed but we are looking forward.”
We wish we could be so positive. With five Premier League games left, the Blues need to shape up, fast.
Chelsea are in big trouble according to former player Joe Cole, who has pointed out some of the major mistakes made by the ownership.
After the game, Liam Rosenior was barely able to confirm that Cole Palmer wouldn’t be leaving if the Blues don’t qualify for the Champions League.
