Manchester City have finally done it—clinching their first Barclays Women's Super League title in a decade—and head coach Andrée Jeglertz is already looking ahead to even bigger things. The Cityzens secured the 2025/2026 crown after title rivals Arsenal could only manage a 1-1 draw against Brighton & Hove Albion, meaning only an Arsenal win would have kept the race alive. Instead, City's consistent brilliance paid off, and the celebrations can begin in earnest.

Speaking after the title was confirmed, Jeglertz was quick to credit the unity and grit of his squad. "Helping guide this team to the WSL title is something I will never forget," he said. "The girls have met every challenge in front of them head on and have been an absolute joy to coach this season. In the good moments and the bad, they've always stuck together and found a way to win—something that all great champions do."

The Swedish tactician also highlighted the collective effort behind the scenes. "This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible effort, belief, passion and dedication of my colleagues, the players and the fans. They've all been a credit to the club as well as themselves and deserve to celebrate this amazing moment."

But Jeglertz isn't resting on his laurels. With the title secured, he's already setting his sights on more silverware. "This isn't the end of the road—we still have plenty to fight for this season and in the coming years. I'm excited by what the future holds for this amazing group of players and this fantastic club."

Manchester City will officially lift the trophy after their final match of the season against West Ham United on Saturday, 16 May 2026. For fans and players alike, it's a moment to savor—and a sign that this City side is just getting started.
