The first target is a defensive force: Flory Bidunga. The 6-foot-9 big man is coming off a standout season at Kansas where he averaged 13.3 points and 9.0 rebounds per game. More impressively, his 2.6 blocks per contest earned him the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year award. His efficiency is undeniable, leading the conference with a 64.0% field goal percentage, making him a dominant interior presence any program would crave.

Next on the list is a sharpshooting wing, John Blackwell from Wisconsin. Blackwell showed remarkable growth during his time with the Badgers, culminating in a stellar 2025-26 campaign where he averaged 19.1 points and 5.1 rebounds. His ability to stretch the floor is his greatest asset, having shot 38.9% from three-point range on over seven attempts per game. Adding a proven scorer and shooter of his caliber would instantly elevate Duke's offensive spacing.

The third reported target is Cam Hildreth, a dynamic guard from Wake Forest who averaged an impressive 21.4 points per game this past season. A scorer of his magnitude would provide the Blue Devils with a proven bucket-getter who can create his own shot and shoulder offensive responsibility.

While it's unlikely Duke lands all three stars, securing even one or two would dramatically reshape their roster.
