After Day 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft, most New Orleans Saints fans should be smiling from ear to ear following the selection of Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson. In what felt like an eternity since the team last made a major draft investment at a skill position, fans can now be excited about the potential of a Tyson-Chris Olave pairing.

However, the job is far from finished. Day 2 of the draft is quickly approaching, and as of now, the Saints are scheduled to make two selections. New Orleans currently holds pick No. 42 in the second round and pick No. 73 in the third round.

With plenty of talent still available, the Saints have a strong opportunity to add a pair of impact players who could contribute immediately in some capacity. While the wide receiver need was addressed with the addition of Tyson, several key holes still remain across the roster.

With that in mind, here’s what major media outlets have the Saints doing on Day 2:

"There was buzz Thursday that the Saints might trade up for linebacker Arvell Reese, and multiple teams asked about the truth of it. After staying put, New Orleans needs pass rush help. Howell had 11.5 sacks in 2025 and has the quickness off the snap to be a problem in space."

"Terrell has inside-outside versatility at the next level, which makes him incredibly valuable. After the initial run at the position, Terrell was easily amidst that next group."

"Parker was amazing as a true freshman, good as a sophomore and pretty invisible as a junior. If he can get back to his younger form, this could be a steal — either for the Saints here or someone else on Day 2."

"The Saints could use more edge depth behind Chase Young and Carl Granderson. Young (6-6, 262 pounds) profiles as a good fit for New Orleans' defense, as he's a strong edge-setter against the run but also generated 6.5 sacks during his final season at Missouri."

"The Saints are looking for cornerback help, and Igbinosun is a good value at this juncture. The 22-year-old Igbinosun is an experienced cornerback who made 53 starts at Ole Miss and Ohio State. The 6-2, 189-pound cornerback showed well in press coverage – minus his tendency to commit penalties – and has the physicality needed to also be a solid run defender."

"With only one pick left in the top 100, the Giants feel like natural trade-down options in this position.
