Connor Zilisch became the third driver in Watkins Glen history to win the NASCAR O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race three times in a row.

In a stunning reversal of fortune, Connor Zilisch turned a nine-month-old memory of leaving Watkins Glen International in an ambulance into a moment of pure triumph on Saturday, May 9. The 19-year-old driver climbed out of his No. 1 JR Motorsports Chevrolet with a careful, deliberate motion after winning the Mission 200 at The Glen—a stark contrast to the furious, pedal-to-the-metal driving style he employed to catch his close friend Jesse Love.

With just six laps remaining, a miscue threatened to derail Zilisch's charge. But he refused to let the gap widen. Over the final 30 laps, he methodically erased an 18-second deficit without the help of a single caution flag. The race came down to the final turn of the 82-lap event, where Zilisch executed a daring inside pass on Love to steal the win.

"I was driving as hard as I could for all 30 of those laps, just trying to make up that gap," Zilisch said afterward. "I wasn't going to move Jesse in the last corner there, but he got in deep and I was able to get by."

The victory adds Zilisch's name to an elite list of NASCAR history. He becomes just the third driver to win three consecutive races at Watkins Glen, joining legends Terry Labonte (1994–1996) and Marcos Ambrose (2008–2010).

Love settled for second place in the 38-driver field, followed by Taylor Gray in third, Ross Chastain in fourth, and Brandon Jones rounding out the top five. For Zilisch, the win is more than a milestone—it's a redemption story written at 180 miles per hour.
