The Chicago Bears are sending one of their newest offensive weapons to Hollywood next week. Zavion Thomas, the team's third-round pick out of Mississippi State, has been selected as one of 42 rookies to attend the 32nd annual NFLPA Rookie Premiere in Los Angeles from May 14-16.

This isn't your typical football camp. The three-day event is a business bonanza for the league's top incoming talent, blending trading card shoots with Topps, business education sessions, and autograph opportunities. Players will rub shoulders with industry giants like Fanatics, EA Sports, New Era, Gatorade, and Microsoft—a golden chance to start building their brand off the field.

"Rookie Premiere serves as the first organized entry point into the business of professional football," the NFLPA explains. "It's focused on group licensing, personal brand development, and long-term income opportunities." In other words, it's where future stars learn that their value extends far beyond game day.

Thomas joins an impressive lineage of Bears representatives at the event. Last year, tight end Colston Loveland and wide receiver Luther Burden III made the trip, while quarterback Caleb Williams and receiver Rome Odunze attended in 2024. For Thomas, it's a chance to follow in their footsteps and start carving out his place both on the roster and in the league's business landscape.
