The most popular pick the Atlanta Falcons made in the 2026 NFL Draft was when they took Georgia wide receiver Zachariah Branch in the third round, No. 79 overall. Branch is undersized for a pro receiver (5-foot-9, 177 pounds) but has more than enough speed to take the top off defenses and is a dynamic return specialist, to boot.
After it was all over, the Falcons joined in the frenzy that is signing hundreds of college free agents who all hit the market at the same time.
Atlanta came out with 14 UDFAs, including Branch's old teammate, Bulldogs running back Cash Jones. Here's how Branch reacted when he heard the news that Jones was also joining the Falcons.

Jones (5-foot-11, 194 pounds) didn't see the field too often at Georgia, serving as a backup for his entire five-season career with the Bulldogs. Primarily used as a scat-back, Jones put up 57 catches, 573 receiving yards and six touchdowns to go with 52 carries, 253 yards and three scores as a rusher in 55 games.
Jones won't be supplanting Bijan Robinson - instead he'll have to compete for snaps with the other players at the bottom of Atlanta's depth chart at running back - including Carlos Washington Jr., Nathan Carter and Tyler Goodson.
