In the pantheon of Cameron Crazies' legendary antics, few moments shine as brightly—or as briefly—as the infamous "Speedo Guy" from 2003. It's a tale that combines college basketball's electric atmosphere, a dash of audacious humor, and even a love story for the ages.

The setup was simple yet daring: during a heated game against archrival North Carolina, a fan known only as Speedo Guy hatched a plan. He'd ask everyone around him to sit down, and when a UNC player stepped to the free-throw line, he'd spring up and unleash a full-on shimmy in nothing but his swimwear. The target? Jackie Manuel, who was shooting for the Tar Heels. The result? Manuel missed both free throws, and Cameron Indoor Stadium erupted.

This video takes you behind the scenes, featuring commentary from the man himself, Patrick King (aka Speedo Guy), alongside other iconic figures like Mullet Man, former Duke star Eric Montross, Jackie Manuel, and the legendary Coach Mike Krzyzewski. But here's where the story takes an unexpected twist: the stunt made such a lasting impression on a girl who was dating King's brother that she switched allegiances—and brothers. They eventually married and now have two kids. As the video jokes, we can only hope the whole family honors their dad by sporting Speedos at the pool.

While this remains one of the all-time great moments in Cameron history, Coach K made it crystal clear it would be a one-off (pun intended). Patrick King has since traded his Speedo for a collar, becoming a minister. But as he proves at the end of the video, you can take the Crazy out of Cameron, but you can't take Cameron out of the Crazy.
