Recapping the Yankees’ minor league affiliates’ results from May 10th.

The Yankees' minor league affiliates delivered a mixed bag of results on May 10th, with standout performances and key development moments across all four levels.

Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders: W, 3-2 at Worcester Red Sox

This win was extra special, giving manager Shelley Duncan his 500th career managerial victory! The RailRiders leaned on the long ball, with Yanquiel Fernández launching a two-run homer and catcher Ali Sánchez adding a solo shot. However, the top of the order remains a concern—George Lombard Jr. and Anthony Volpe combined to go 0-for-7 with two strikeouts, still searching for their rhythm.

On the mound, Elmer Rodríguez continues his battle with command. Over 4.2 innings, he allowed six hits and one run but issued two walks and hit a batter, throwing just 52 of his 94 pitches for strikes. The bullpen held strong, with Danny Watson picking up the win and Zach Messinger closing it out for the save.

Double-A Somerset Patriots: L, 6-1 at Reading Fightin Phils

Gerrit Cole took the loss in his fifth rehab start, but the results were encouraging. The ace fired five innings, allowing three runs (two earned) while striking out a season-high eight batters and touching 97 mph on the radar gun. He threw 77 pitches, inching closer to a full workload. Offensively, the Patriots managed just five hits, with Duncan Pastore providing the only extra-base pop with two doubles.

High-A Hudson Valley Renegades: W, 5-2 vs. Winston-Salem Dash

First baseman Kyle West was the star of the show, crushing two home runs and driving in five of the Renegades' five runs. It was a breakout performance for the prospect, who showed off his power potential. On the bump, 21-year-old Franyer Herrera turned in a sharp outing, tossing five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts to earn the win.

Low-A Tampa Tarpons: L, 5-3 at Fort Myers Mighty Mussels

The Tarpons couldn't overcome an early deficit, falling to Fort Myers. While the offense showed some fight, the pitching staff struggled to contain the Mighty Mussels' lineup, leading to the loss.

From Cole's rehab progress to West's power display, there's plenty for Yankees fans to track as these prospects continue their journeys toward the Bronx.
