What's fueling the New York Yankees' red-hot start to the season? It might just be the flavors of North Jersey.
Elia Mediterranean Restaurant in East Rutherford has been serving up more than just great food—they've been feeding the Bronx Bombers themselves. The eatery recently shared a behind-the-scenes look at their connection to the team, posting photos of their staff inside the Yankees' locker room alongside manager Aaron Boone and key players.
"It's truly an honor to feed one of the greatest organizations in sports," the restaurant wrote on social media, specifically shouting out outfielder Cody Bellinger and shortstop Jose Caballero "for all the love they showed our team." They added, "Moments like these mean the world to us."
And it's easy to see why the Yankees are grateful. The team is currently sitting atop the American League standings with a stellar 25-12 record, tied for the second-best mark in all of Major League Baseball. They had won 15 of their last 17 games and were riding a six-game winning streak before it was snapped on May 6. Coincidence? Maybe not.
Since opening its doors in 2017, Elia has become a go-to spot for local sports stars and celebrities. The New York Giants' front office stopped by in January, just before naming their new head coach. Several Giants wide receivers, including 2024 first-round pick Malik Nabers, dined there in late April. And tight end Daniel Bellinger was a regular during his time with the team back in November 2025.
Even reality TV has taken notice—the restaurant hosted the cast of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" for filming in 2022.
Whether it's the Mediterranean flavors or the team's undeniable chemistry, one thing's for sure: the Yankees are eating well, and it shows on the field.
