I've been able to process and do everything and it's just back to work. They have a really good club so it feels really good to be back… It sucked. I like to think I worked really hard so I don't ever put myself in that position again. But I got back here and I'm excited to go."

Evaluating Volpe has always been a challenge. He's shown flashes of brilliance, but consistency has eluded him. Over the past year and a half, he's struggled to find his footing, and while he might not be as good as his best moments, he's also better than his worst. Right now, it's fair to say he's an average big leaguer—a tough label for a young player with so much potential.
