Recapping Hump Day hoops and hockey.

What a hump day it was in the world of sports! From walk-off magic in Chicago to a historic ultramarathon finish, here's your recap of the action that kept us on the edge of our seats.

Let's start on the diamond, where the Chicago Cubs are on an absolute tear. For the third straight game, they walked off against the Cincinnati Redsβ€”this time on a bases-loaded walk in the 10th inning. That's three consecutive walk-off wins over the same opponent, and eight straight victories overall. The Cubs now sit at 25-12, trailing only the Braves (26-12) for the best record in baseball. Wrigley Field is buzzing, and this team is showing serious championship grit.

Speaking of grit, how about ultramarathoner Rachel Entrekin? She made history at the Cocodona 250, winning the grueling 253.3-mile race through central Arizona in a course-record 56 hours, 9 minutes, and 48 seconds. Even more impressive? She's the first woman to win the race outright. Tragically, the event was overshadowed by the death of another participant following a serious medical emergency earlier in the race. Our thoughts are with their loved ones.

Over in Europe, PSG is heading back to the Champions League final after a tense 1-1 draw with Bayern Munich, securing a 6-5 aggregate victory. The defending champions will face Arsenal on May 30 in Budapest. Can PSG repeat, or will Arsenal spoil the party?

Not all news was good, though. The Houston Astros' season took another brutal hit, as star shortstop Carlos Correa suffered a freak ankle injury during batting practice that will sideline him for the rest of the year. The slumping Astros (15-23) are already struggling, and losing Correa might be the final nail in the coffin for a team that once looked like a powerhouse.

In NFL news, Russell Wilson is at a crossroads. The 37-year-old quarterback is weighing his options between signing with the New York Jets or making the leap to a TV analyst role. "I still know I can play ball at a high level," Wilson said, "but also I think the opportunity to do TV is great, so we'll see what happens."

And finally, the NBA playoffs delivered another classic. The New York Knicks proved they can win ugly, beating the Philadelphia 76ers 108-102 to take a 2-0 series lead. The game featured 25 lead changesβ€”the most in a playoff game since 2015 (Spurs vs. Clippers, Game 7). Meanwhile, the San Antonio Spurs bounced back from a Game 1 loss in emphatic fashion, routing the Minnesota Timberwolves 133-95 to even the series. Double-doubles all around in the Alamo City.

From walk-offs to history-making runs, Wednesday had it all. Whether you're gearing up for your own game or just living for the highlights, make sure you're dressed for the action. Stay tuned for more great sports moments ahead!
