Wolves head to the South Coast this weekend with one clear mission: restore some pride before their inevitable return to the Championship. Relegation has already been confirmed after a tough run of results at Molineux, but Rob Edwards’ side still has three matches left to prove they can compete at this level.

The numbers don’t lie—Wolves are winless in their last 19 away Premier League games and sit just two points above bottom-placed Burnley. Their road form has been particularly troubling, averaging a meager 0.41 goals per game. In fact, only Norwich City in the 2019-20 season managed a lower away goal average in a single top-flight campaign. Still, there’s a glimmer of hope: Wolves have lost just one of their last six visits to Brighton.

Edwards is already thinking about a major rebuild at Compton Park this summer, but for now, he’s focused on getting a result that can lift spirits in the dressing room. "We want to finish strong and build momentum for next season," he said ahead of the trip.

In team news, Daniel Bentley will continue between the sticks at the Amex Stadium. First-choice goalkeeper Jose Sa remains sidelined with an ankle injury picked up against Liverpool last month, and Sam Johnstone is also unavailable. That leaves Bentley as the only senior option for the final fixtures. There’s better news on the defensive front: Ladislav Krejci has returned to training after a neck issue and will be assessed before kickoff. If he’s not ready, expect Yerson Mosquera and Santiago Bueno to step in.

Up front, all eyes will be on Adam Armstrong, who is set to make his 100th Premier League appearance today. While he holds the unfortunate record for most defeats in his first 100 top-flight games, he remains a key player alongside young prospect Mateus Mane. Hugo Bueno has passed a fitness test and is expected to start at left wing-back, while Rodrigo Gomes is pushing for a starting role in attack.

Wolves predicted XI: Bentley; Mosquera, S. Bueno, Toti; Lima, J. Gomes, Andre, H. Bueno; R. Gomes, Mane; Armstrong.

It won’t be easy against a Brighton side that plays some of the most fluid football in the league, but Wolves know that a strong finish could set the tone for what promises to be a busy summer of rebuilding. For the fans making the trip south, a little pride restored would go a long way.
