The Arizona native announced his finalists on April 6, placing Luke Fickell's resurgent Badgers in the mix alongside Kansas State, Illinois, Minnesota, Penn State, and Arizona State. Notably, four of these six programs are future Big Ten rivals, setting the stage for high-stakes conference battles regardless of where the talented lineman lands.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 312 pounds, Tahi represents a major target for Wisconsin's defensive front. The Badgers made a strong, personal impression earlier this month by sending a bundle of handwritten letters, a tactic that clearly resonated with the prospect.

While hometown Arizona State is often seen as the favorite—Tahi currently plays for Basha High School in Chandler—his recruitment is far from decided. He has scheduled an official visit to Madison for May 28, following a trip to see the Sun Devils on May 1.
