Williams has announced its line-up for the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed

Williams Racing is gearing up for a historic celebration at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed, and the star-studded line-up promises a powerful blend of past glory and future promise. The legendary team will descend upon Goodwood from July 9-12, bringing with it a piece of Formula 1 history that will set pulses racing.

The centerpiece of their appearance will be a truly iconic reunion. Damon Hill, the 1996 F1 World Champion, will be strapping back into the title-winning FW18 to tackle the famous Goodwood hillclimb. This moment is made even more special as it marks the 30th anniversary of Hill's championship triumph, offering fans a rare chance to see a legend reunited with the machine that made history.

But Williams isn't just looking back. The team is bringing its full spectrum of talent to the festival. Team Principal James Vowles will be joined by current reserve driver Luke Browning and three-time W Series champion and team ambassador Jamie Chadwick, showcasing the depth of skill driving the team forward today.

The significance of the moment isn't lost on those involved. James Vowles highlighted the event's power to connect eras, stating, "Goodwood is an incredibly special event... To see Damon reunited with the FW18 as we mark 30 years since his world drivers’ championship is hugely meaningful for the team and for motorsport fans." Damon Hill echoed the sentiment, expressing his excitement to be "reunited with my championship-winning FW18" and to share the moment with the fans three decades later.

This appearance continues a long-standing tradition, as noted by the Duke of Richmond, founder of the Festival. Williams was one of the first F1 teams to appear at Goodwood back in 1994, making their return with such a symbolic car a major highlight for an event built on celebrating motorsport's rich heritage and thrilling present.
