FIFA won't ban tailgating at World Cup matches this summer, but that doesn't mean stadiums won't have their own restrictions in place.

According to a post the organization made to X on April 14, FIFA doesn't have a formal policy that restricts tailgating. However, "site-specific" restrictions could be enacted "in alignment with host city public safety authorities in certain venues based on local regulations."

So fans of all FIFA World Cup 2026 matches should take note.

The Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens will host the seven matches in Miami. Though the venue usually allows tailgating at Miami Dolphins and Miami Hurricanes games, it does have restrictions in place, but has not released specific guidance for World Cup games.

Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, does allow tailgating, though it has a list of guidelines. Among them are requests to occupy only one space per vehicle, tailgate directly behind your car in a designated space outlined on the ground, drink responsibly, keep music to a "reasonable" volume and clean up the area before heading into the stadium proper.

USA TODAY has reached out to the Hard Rock Stadium to clarify whether tailgating during World Cup Games specifically will be permitted.
