Amid a dominant playoff run for the Knicks, they may have lost another starter. Here's what to know about Josh Hart's status for Game 3.

As the New York Knicks continue their impressive playoff run, a new injury concern has emerged for one of their most versatile weapons. Josh Hart, the team's relentless 31-year-old guard, is now listed as questionable for Game 3 of the Conference Semi-Finals against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a left thumb sprain.

Hart has been the ultimate Swiss Army knife for the Knicks this season, averaging 12 points per game while ranking in the NBA's top 40 in both rebounding and assists. In Game 2 alone, he logged an exhausting 44 minutes, stuffing the stat sheet with 7 assists, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals. His energy and hustle have been a driving force behind New York's dominance.

The injury occurred during the second half of that Game 2 victory. Hart, attempting to block a dunk from Sixers forward Dominick Barlow, collided his left hand with the head of Philadelphia guard Quentin Grimes. The impact sprained his thumb, but after a quick trip to the locker room for taping, Hart returned to the floor and finished the game.

This is not unfamiliar territory for Hart, who is known for playing through pain. Earlier this season, he battled through a hand injury with a splint on his right ring finger. Given his reputation for logging heavy minutes while banged up, it's hard to imagine him sitting out for long.

Hart joins OG Anunoby (questionable, right hamstring strain) and Mitchell Robinson (probable, illness) on the Knicks' injury report. For a team already navigating the physical toll of a deep playoff run, every player's status matters. But if history is any guide, expect Hart to suit up and give everything he has in Game 3.
