When Tyasha Harris steps onto the court for the Indiana Fever, she carries more than just a basketball—she carries her home state on her skin. The newly acquired guard, who returned to Indianapolis after winning three state championships with Heritage Christian, recently shared the meaningful stories behind her arm tattoos.

During a preseason game against the Nigeria Women's National Team, fans noticed the prominent "Indiana" tattoo on her right arm. For Harris, it's more than just ink. "This is where I'm from. This is home for me," she said with a smile before Monday's practice. "I just wanted to staple that and put that on me."

But the Indiana native's body art tells a deeper story. A lion tattoo honors her grandmother, who would encourage her to "let your lioness out." She also sports her angel numbers—777, a symbol often associated with luck—and the logo for her Indianapolis-based AAU program, Ty Harris Elite. "My whole arm is a lot of spiritual stuff and just about me," Harris explained.

The 5-foot-10 guard made her Fever debut over the weekend, contributing two points and an assist in 12 minutes after missing most of last season due to injury. As she settles back into the city where her basketball journey began, her tattoos serve as a permanent reminder of her roots and resilience.
