The Seattle Seahawks have selected a running back in Round 1 of the 2026 NFL Draft, and it's Notre Dame's Jadarian Price.

Price served as Jeremiyah Love's backup for the Fighting Irish, but he was still productive, posting 11 touchdowns and 674 rushing yards on six yards per carry in 2025.

That said, why did Seattle take a running back in Round 1?

The Seahawks have found their Kenneth Walker replacement.

Walker departed Seattle for the Kansas City Chiefs in free agency, and with Zach Charbonnet recovering from a torn ACL, running back is a desperate need for the Seahawks.

Price will immediately step in as a starter in the backfield for Seattle and provide dynamic play. The 5-foot-11 explosive playmaker is also an electric returner, so the Seahawks are getting a versatile threat.
