Marc Marquez believes Ducati should take inspiration from Marco Bezzecchi and Aprilia’s approach this season as he looks to work his way back into the title conversation. Following a disappointing result at the Spanish Grand Prix, some have started to question whether Marquez has missed his final shot at another world championship, not just this year but perhaps for good.

Marc Marquez is looking beyond his own struggles and sees a blueprint for success in Marco Bezzecchi's approach this MotoGP season. The eight-time world champion believes Ducati should take notes from Bezzecchi and Aprilia as he plots his comeback in the title race.

After a tough Spanish Grand Prix left him 44 points behind Bezzecchi—one of the largest deficits of his career—questions are swirling about whether Marquez has missed his final shot at another championship. Injuries have played a bigger role than initially expected, making his early-season momentum hard to find.

But instead of dwelling on the gap, Marquez is studying how Bezzecchi has found success. Speaking on Nicoabad TV, MotoGP reporter Mela Chercoles explained the mindset shift Marquez wants to make. The key? Bezzecchi's relentless Saturday preparation.

“If you look at Bezzecchi on Saturday, he’s at 0-3. Then a second place. He puts in a ton of work in the pits on Saturday. He’s the one who works harder than anyone else, by far,” Chercoles said. “He loves being in the pits, he works wonderfully, he sees what everyone is doing, he gets along well with Flamigni, with his engineers, and then he always takes a step forward on Sunday.”

Marquez has reportedly told Ducati that Bezzecchi's ability to improve from Saturday to Sunday is something they need to replicate. “Marc usually starts stronger and then they catch up to him. He has to manage to start strong and still develop a bit,” Chercoles added.

For a rider known for his aggressive, race-winning style, this marks a shift toward patience and process. As the season heats up, all eyes will be on whether Marquez can adopt Bezzecchi's method and close the gap—or if the title window is truly closing.
