Mid-round NFL Draft trades always fly a bit under the radar. The broadcast is telling different stories, and they don't always get noticed.

It's worth noticing what the Jacksonville Jaguars did on Saturday afternoon in trading up to the 119th overall pick, allowing the Carolina Panthers to move down and out of that spot.

The Jags spotted a player they wanted and went to get him: Wesley Williams.

It may have been an overpay, but it says Jacksonville is a big fan.

Williams wasn't necessarily one of the consensus best players available.

They decided he was the player they wanted, though, and they didn't want to wait any longer.

He ran the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine in 4.89 seconds.

In 2025, he had nine tackles for loss, including two sacks. He was better the year prior -- 13.5 TFL, 7.5 sacks.

He also has five kick blocks from his college career, so that's a promising trait he can add to the Jags.
