The New York Giants could've traded down from the No. 5 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

They didn't do that, though. Instead they picked

It's a strong acquisition for the Giants, and the fun night is just getting started.

They'll be back on the clock soon with the No. 10 overall pick. That's what they got from the Cincinnati Bengals for Dexter Lawrence.

Frankly, Reese wasn't expected to be here. The New York Jets chose pass rusher David Bailey with the No. 2 pick, and then two offensive players were taken (Jeremiyah Love, Carnell Tate). That left Reese on the board.

Reese is a star linebacker from Ohio State who has been compared to Micah Parsons.

He could become a dominant edge rusher. Even if that doesn't work, he can turn into an off-ball linebacker.

The 6-foot-4, 241-pound linebacker ran a 4.46-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
