The Cleveland Browns saw a player they wanted, Emmanuel McNeil-Warren.

It's a cool Ohio connection, and they've been united with the No. 58 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. The Browns traded up with the San Francisco 49ers to get him.

"This is a steal to me," ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. said on the draft broadcast.

McNeil-Warren is a hard-hitting safety from the University of Toledo. It's the first time in 50 years the Browns have drafted a player from Toledo, according to the ESPN draft broadcast.

Sure, he played in the MAC, but the Rockets produce studs. Quinyon Mitchell came out of Toledo two years ago.

The Browns have traded up to pick 58, also receiving pick 152 from the 49ers for picks 70 and 107.

Kiper thought McNeil-Warren would go in the late-20s.

Many mock drafts had him going as high as No. 18 to the Minnesota Vikings.

Any way you draw this up, the Browns won this deal.

And now, McNeil-Warren heads from Northwest Ohio to Northeast Ohio. A fun pick for Cleveland, and seemingly a good one.
