The Cleveland Browns were active in Round 1, trading down three spots with the Kansas City Chiefs, then taking offensive tackle Spencer Fano, and then down the board at No. 24, taking wide receiver KC Concepcion.
Then on Day 2 at the 39th pick, according to NFL insider Jordan Schultz, the Browns are doubling down at WR and taking Washington's Denzel Boston.
But the Browns already took a WR in Round 1, why are they drafting another WR in this year's draft? The reason is clear: they needed more than just one option.

The Browns came into the NFL Draft with a very weak wide receiver room. Jerry Jeudy, Isaiah Bond, and Cedric Tillman made up the top three WRs for Cleveland.
With such a barren room, it's not a surprise that the Browns went out and drafted Concepcion in Round 1. But, they've now selected Boston in Round 2, the son of David Boston, the former All-Pro NFL WR.
The Browns' WR room needs to be deeper, and with Boston's addition, they now have a very intriguing WR trio with Boston, Concepcion, and Jeudy.

Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson, or Dillon Gabriel, whoever the starting quarterback is, the Browns need more help for the offense.
He's a different type of player than Concepcion and Jeudy, and will be a quality addition to the WR room. ESPN's Mel Kiper Jr. had a similar analysis, emphasizing how he will complement Concepcion in the Browns offense.
"Complimentary player to KC Concepcion, who's in the slot," Kiper said. "This kid will catch it when Shedeur Sanders throws it to him. Routinely quick in tight coverage."
While adding multiple WRs might not make a ton of sense on paper, the Browns needed the help, and Boston, along with Concepcion, will be a huge boost for the offense.
