The Cleveland Browns have officially closed the book on the David Njoku era, as the veteran tight end is set to join the Los Angeles Chargers on a one-year, $8 million deal. After nine seasons in a Browns uniform, the 29-year-old former first-round pick is taking his talents to the West Coast to catch passes from star quarterback Justin Herbert.

Njoku, drafted 29th overall out of Miami in 2017, was once viewed as a cornerstone of Cleveland's offense. Over his tenure, he amassed 384 receptions for 4,062 yards and 34 touchdowns. However, his production dipped significantly in 2025, managing just 33 catches for 293 yards and four scores in a quiet campaign.
