The Tennessee Titans radio booth is about to enter a new era, and whoever steps into it will have some enormous shoes to fill. Dave McGinnis—known to fans simply as "Coach Mac"—has left the play-by-play analyst role, and his departure marks the end of an unforgettable chapter for Titans Radio.
Coach Mac had a rare gift: he could break down the most complex football plays in a way that made every listener feel like they were right there on the sideline. His deep knowledge of the game, combined with a warm, approachable style, made him a beloved voice for the Titans faithful. But it wasn't just game days—Mac was a constant presence throughout the week, whether he was working with the media or simply connecting with those around him.
Titans Radio has a proud tradition of outstanding analysts. Pat Ryan set the bar high, famously teaming with Mike Keith for the iconic "Music City Miracle" call. When Ryan said, "He's got something! He's got something! He's got it!" it became a permanent part of Titans lore. Then came the late Frank Wycheck, who brought his own magic to the booth. Wycheck and Keith shared a special chemistry—you could feel it in every broadcast, a seamless partnership that made gameday listening a joy.
So who could be next? Paul Kuharsky recently floated a list of potential candidates, and one name that immediately sparked interest was Keith Bulluck. The former Titans linebacker has already expressed interest in the job, and his passion for the team is undeniable. But another intriguing option is Ramon Foster. While he's not a former Titan, Foster has deep roots in the local sports scene. He works for the Titans' flagship radio station, spent last season as the analyst for Tennessee Volunteers football alongside Keith, and has even served as a sideline reporter for Titans Radio. That combination of experience and familiarity makes him a strong contender.
As Jonathan Hutton often says, "Mac was one of one." There's no replacing a legend like Dave McGinnis. But the next analyst has a chance to write their own chapter in Titans Radio history.
