It's time to cast your vote for the Dayton Daily News Athlete of the Week! We're honoring standout performances from high school competitions played during the week of May 4-9, and we need your help to pick the winner.

Below, you'll find the ballot featuring this week's nominees—all exceptional student-athletes from our coverage area. Voting is open now and will run through the end of the day Wednesday. The winner will be announced Friday morning, so make your voice heard!

Want to nominate an athlete for a future poll? We welcome submissions from coaches, athletic directors, school administrators, and fans. Simply click the nomination link to share the athlete's full name, school, sport, grade level, and their top stats or accomplishments from the week. A portrait or action photo is also appreciated.

Here's how it works: Nominations remain open throughout the season, and athletes can be nominated again if they didn't win previously. Our sports staff selects finalists based on performance, and we aim to feature a diverse range of sports and schools each week. Voting opens at noon every Monday and closes Wednesday, with any attempts to manipulate the process leading to disqualification.
