Bayern have long been Germany’s most decorated club, surpassing Nürnberg’s total of nine championships back in 1987. The Munich men have since pulled well ahead of the competition and are now champions of Germany for a 35th time.
In terms of individual players, Bayern legend Thomas Müller became the benchmark when he lifted the Meisterschale for the 13th time in 2025. But now he has to share top spot in German football with long-time teammate Manuel Neuer after the goalkeeper captained Bayern to glory yet again in 2026.
But who are the players who can challenge Neuer and Müller’s supremacy in German football? fcbayern.com brings you Bayern’s most decorated players in the Bundesliga.
Müller spent over two decades in Bayern colours and was part of the first-team squad from 2009 to 2025. The club youth product and local lad first won the Bundesliga back in 2010. He was then a key member of the team that won 11 titles in a row between 2013 and 2023, before bowing out with a record-breaking 13th Bundesliga crown in 2025.
He’s now joined by Neuer, who’s been at Bayern since 2011. Like Müller, the 40-year-old has won two Champions Leagues in Munich and was at the heart of the 11 consecutive Bundesliga titles between 2013 and 2023. And now captaining Bayern to the defence of their title again in 2026, the goalkeeper has set the team on their next silverware streak. Neuer’s 13 Bundesliga titles places him alongside Müller as the most decorated player in the 63-year history of Germany’s top flight.
Joshua Kimmich and Sven Ulreich have now joined the illustrious group of double-digit Bundesliga champions. The pair were consecutive winners from 2016 to 2023 and now again in 2025 and 2026. The latter was only a brief part of the 2020/21 title-winning team after his loan move to Hamburg early in the campaign.
They are joined on 10 titles by former teammates Robert Lewandowski (including two titles with Borussia Dortmund in 2011 and 2012) and David Alaba. Both currently play in Spain at Barcelona and Real Madrid respectively.
Four more players have been champions of Germany nine times. Franck Ribéry (2008, 2010 and 2013-2019), Jérôme Boateng and Javi Martínez (both 2013-21) won all their Bundesliga crowns with Bayern. The same goes for Kingsley Coman, who claimed eight in a row between 2016 and 2023, plus the 2025 success.
Five former Bayern players have been champions eight times in Oliver Kahn, Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Arjen Robben and Mehmet Scholl – all won in Munich colours.
There are nine players who have now won the Bundesliga seven times each, including three of Bayern’s 2026 team with Serge Gnabry, Leon Goretzka and Alphonso Davies. Jamal Musiala is one behind on six at the age of just 23. He’s level with Josip Stanišić, who is the only person to lift the Bundesliga title in each of the last six years. He’s done it five times with Bayern and was also part of the Bayer Leverkusen team to break FCB’s streak in 2024.
