The White Sox minor league system is heating up, and no one is swinging a hotter bat right now than Oliver Dunn. The 28-year-old third baseman has earned his second Player of the Week honor this season, powering a Charlotte Knights offense that put up video game numbers.

Let's talk about that offense. The Knights scored a staggering 56 runs last week—that's over nine runs per game. While the pitching staff had some struggles, allowing 42 runs, the bats more than made up for it. Charlotte went 3-3 on the week, splitting a high-scoring series with the Stripers, but the fireworks at the plate were something special.

Dunn was the headliner in a lineup full of standouts. Over 24 at-bats, he posted an eye-popping slash line of .417/.531/1.000, launching three home runs, a triple, and three doubles. He drove in 11 runs, drew seven walks, and even swiped a bag for good measure. When a hitter is producing like that, you start to wonder how long he'll stay in the minors.

He wasn't alone in the offensive explosion. Eight different Knights with at least 14 at-bats posted an OPS over 1.000. Mario Camilletti hit .476 with a .857 slugging percentage, while Rikuu Nishida went a perfect 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts and hit .478. Jacob Gonzalez, LaMonte Wade Jr., and Korey Lee all joined the party with strong weeks at the plate.

On the mound, there were some bright spots. Tyler Schweitzer tossed three scoreless innings with five strikeouts, and Ben Peoples matched him with three shutout frames and five Ks of his own. David Sandlin also threw four scoreless innings. But there were injury concerns: Tanner McDougal will be shut down for several weeks with a flexor strain, and Shane Smith is expected to miss a couple of weeks due to a right rotator cuff strain.

Down in Birmingham, the Barons went 4-2 to climb to 13-14 on the season. With Dunn continuing to rake and the Knights offense firing on all cylinders, there's plenty of excitement brewing in the White Sox farm system.
