Antonacci, 23, was immediately thrust into the action, penciled in to start at second base and bat fifth against the Tampa Bay Rays. The promotion rewards his strong start at Charlotte, where he hit .313 with two home runs and seven RBIs over 14 games, showcasing the offensive spark the Sox are looking for.

This isn't the first high-pressure stage Antonacci has shined on. Baseball fans may recognize him from his standout performance in the 2023 World Baseball Classic, where he helped Team Italy reach the semifinals. Starting all six games, his most memorable moment was launching a home run in a victory over Team USA, proving he can deliver against elite competition.

Ranked as the White Sox's No. 9 prospect and No. 93 overall by Baseball America, Antonacci's arrival continues a significant week for the organization's future. It comes just a day after top prospect Noah Schultz, the club's No. 1-ranked player, made his own debut on the mound against the Rays.

In corresponding moves, the White Sox recalled left-handed pitcher Tyler Gilbert from Charlotte, optioned lefty Brandon Eisert to the minors, and designated outfielder Dustin Harris for assignment, reshaping their roster around this new wave of talent.
