Shivakumar tried to defuse the situation by proposing a compromise: three tickets per home RCB match for MLAs and MPs for the remainder of the season. But the damage was done, and the BCCI ultimately decided to move the final away from Bengaluru.

As a result, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad will host the grand finale on May 31, while the playoff action leading up to it will be shared between Dharamshala and New Chandigarh.
