Mother Nature tried to throw a curveball with weather postponing Friday's game, but FSU was ready for a doubleheader on Saturday. Wes Mendes delivered a masterpiece in the first game, tossing a complete game in a 10-1 rout. The next two contests were tighter, but the Seminoles showed their grit to complete the sweep and improve to an impressive 24-3 at home this season.

Despite the flawless week, FSU remains at No. 12 in the latest USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll, holding a 33-14 overall record and a 15-9 mark in ACC play. They've been nearly unbeatable in Tallahassee, losing just two conference games at home all season.

In the ACC pecking order, the Seminoles sit third behind the red-hot No. 2 North Carolina Tar Heels and No. 3 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. The conference is well-represented in the top 25, with No. 22 Boston College and No. 24 Virginia joining the party, while Miami and Wake Forest also received votes.
