The Minnesota Vikings offense hit rock bottom in 2025, ranking 28th in total yards and forcing a complete overhaul of their game plan during a late-season five-game winning streak. While the addition of quarterback Kyler Murray in free agency brings a spark of excitement, Bleacher Report isn't convinced it's enough to turn things around.

Brad Gagnon of Bleacher Report ranked the Vikings 25th in offensive firepower heading into 2026, pointing to Murray's injury history and a thin receiving corps as major concerns. "McCarthy was just horrendous when healthy in 2025, and the Cardinals finally gave up on Murray after seven seasons of unreliability and inconsistency," Gagnon wrote. "There's a good chance nothing changes for either quarterback in 2026. That receiving corps also lacks depth."

The Vikings have yet to replace wideout Jalen Nailor in free agency, and their draft focus on defense early didn't address the offensive skill positions. That leaves the team relying on 2025 third-round pick Tai Felton to make a massive leap in his second year—a risky bet for a team looking to compete.

However, there's still hope on the horizon. If the Vikings can sign free agent Jauan Jennings, the receiver room gets a major boost. At 6'3" and 212 pounds, Jennings brings a physical presence and a different body type that would be a clear upgrade over Nailor. If not, names like DeAndre Hopkins remain possibilities, but the clock is ticking.

For Vikings fans, the offense is a work in progress. Murray adds mobility and big-play potential, but without reliable targets and consistent health, this unit might still be catching up to the rest of the NFC North.
