Chelsea have sacked their second manager of the season; Liam Rosenior’s squad lost give consecutive league matches, a historically putrid run of games for a club like Chelsea. Earlier this season, the club also sacked FIFA Club World Cup champion Enzo Maresca because of disagreements with the club, their medical staff, and other factors.

Chelsea still have plenty to play for this season, as they have an FA Cup semifinal matchup against Leeds United and aren’t fully in the driver’s seat regarding European qualification. However, after this season, Chelsea will most likely be in the head coach market once again. While there are several top-tier candidates on the market right now, would they be excited about this Chelsea project?

That’s a conversation for the offseason, but right now, the Blues will have to hunker down and salvage anything that they can from such a weird season.
