This past weekend, Alabama football added a significant commitment to their 2027 recruiting class in Elijah Haven.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Haven is considered as the nation's No. 1 overall quarterback in the 2027 cycle, as well as the No. 12 prospect nationally, per the Rivals industry rankings. Rated a five-star prospect, Haven attends Dunham School in Louisiana, and is an elite quarterback who is now among the highest-rated to ever commit to the Crimson Tide at the position.
Following the commitment of Haven, Alabama's 2027 recruiting class took a significant jump in the rankings, as the signal caller was not only the Crimson Tide's sixth commit of the cycle, but also the first rated as a five-star. An all-around significant addition, where does Alabama's recruiting class now rank in the latest team rankings?
As of Tuesday, April 28, Alabama currently sits at No. 29 overall in the latest Rivals industry team rankings, with the Crimson Tide also sitting at No. 12 in the SEC as well. Of the Crimson Tide's six commits, Haven is the lone five-star, while Alabama also has two four-stars, as well as three three-stars, per Rivals industry rankings.
The positional breakdown of those six commitments also feature two quarterbacks in Haven and Trent Seaborn, as well as a pair of tight ends and edge rushers each.
With the calendar set to soon flip to May as well, could Kalen DeBoer and Alabama begin to turn this commitment from Haven into some more recruiting momentum entering the summer months?
