Luka Dončić was officially ruled out Friday for Game 3 of the Western Conference semifinals between the OKC Thunder and Los Angeles Lakers.

The stakes are getting higher in the Western Conference semifinals, and the Los Angeles Lakers are facing an uphill battle without their superstar. Luka Dončić has been officially ruled out for Game 3 against the Oklahoma City Thunder, leaving fans wondering when they'll see the Slovenian sensation back on the court.

The Thunder have seized a commanding 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series, and the action now shifts to Los Angeles for a pivotal matchup. Dončić has been sidelined since April 2 with a Grade 2 left hamstring strain—a tough blow for any team, especially during the intensity of the playoffs.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday, Dončić shared an update on his recovery. "I'm just doing everything I can. Every day, I'm doing things I'm supposed to do. Obviously, I'm recovering, and now I'm working," he said. "The doctor said eight weeks at the beginning of the first MRI. So I'm just going day by day, and I feel better every day."

That first MRI came on April 3, nearly five weeks ago. If the eight-week timeline holds, Dončić would miss the entire second-round series against OKC—a devastating prospect for Lakers fans hoping for a deep playoff run. "I don't think people understand how frustrating it is," Dončić admitted. "All I want to do is play basketball, especially this time of year. It's the best time to play basketball. It's very frustrating. Seeing what my team is doing, I'm very proud of them. But it's been very tough just to sit and watch them play."

The Thunder, meanwhile, are also dealing with their own injury woes, as All-Star Jalen Williams has been ruled out for Game 3. With both teams missing key pieces, Saturday's clash (7:30 p.m. on ABC) promises to be a test of depth and resilience—the kind of gritty battle that defines playoff basketball.
