What We Know — And Don’t Know — About The Green Bay Packers’ Schedule

The Green Bay Packers and the rest of the NFL will learn their full schedules for 2026 on Thursday.

The NFL schedule release is officially set for 7 p.m. (CST) Thursday, and that's when the Green Bay Packers—and the rest of the league—will finally learn the exact order of their 2026 opponents. For Packers fans eager to plan their game days, here's everything we know so far—and what's still up in the air.

Green Bay's home slate is packed with heavyweight matchups, including division rivals Minnesota, Detroit, and Chicago, plus Atlanta, Carolina, Buffalo, Miami, Dallas, and Houston. On the road, the Packers will travel to Minnesota, Detroit, Chicago, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, New England, the New York Jets, and the Los Angeles Rams.

Based on early leaks, one game is already locked in: Week 12 will see the Packers face the Los Angeles Rams on Wednesday, Nov. 25, at 7 p.m. on Netflix—the NFL's first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game. It's a historic prime-time slot that adds extra spice to an already intriguing matchup.

Here are five things we do know about the Packers' 2026 schedule:

1. It's one of the toughest slates in the NFL. Based on 2025 winning percentages, Green Bay faces the third-hardest schedule in the league. Their opponents posted a combined .538 winning percentage in 2024, trailing only Chicago (.550) and Miami (.542). That means every game will demand peak performance.

2. Playoff-caliber opponents are everywhere. Six of the Packers' 14 opponents made the playoffs last year, including the New England Patriots (who reached the Super Bowl at 16-4) and the Los Angeles Rams (who made the NFC Championship game at 14-6). These are not just tough games—they're potential playoff previews.

3. Quarterback fans, this is your dream schedule. Green Bay will face reigning MVP Matthew Stafford (Rams), 2024 MVP Josh Allen (Buffalo), and 2025 MVP runner-up Drake Maye (New England). Inside the NFC North, they'll see Chicago's Caleb Williams, Detroit's Jared Goff, and Minnesota's Kyler Murray twice each. And don't forget Dak Prescott (Dallas) and former Packer Malik Willis (Miami)—this lineup is stacked with star power under center.

4. History is being made on a Wednesday night. The Packers and Rams will play the NFL's first-ever Thanksgiving Eve game on Nov. 25, streamed live on Netflix. It's a bold new tradition that gives Green Bay a national spotlight right before the holiday weekend.

5. A rare Wednesday game for the Packers. Green Bay has played only one other Wednesday game in franchise history, making this a unique addition to their storied schedule. Expect Lambeau Field energy to translate perfectly to the SoFi Stadium stage.

As more games are announced, we'll keep you updated. For now, mark your calendars for Nov. 25—and get ready for what promises to be a thrilling 2026 season for the Green and Gold.
