Michigan football will look for revenge when Oklahoma comes to Ann Arbor on Saturday, Sept.12.

The countdown is on for one of the biggest showdowns of the 2026 college football season. Michigan football is set to host Oklahoma in a highly anticipated rematch, and now we finally know when and where to watch.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, Sept. 12, at noon ET, when the Wolverines and Sooners face off on Fox. This year's game shifts to the bright lights of Ann Arbor, a change from last season's primetime clash under the lights in Norman, Oklahoma.

For Michigan, this game is more than just another Saturday—it's a chance for redemption. The Sooners handed the Wolverines a tough 24-13 loss last year, a defeat that proved costly as Michigan missed the College Football Playoff and ended their season with a Citrus Bowl loss to Texas on Dec. 31. Oklahoma, meanwhile, rode that momentum all the way to the CFP.

Last season's matchup was a trial by fire for freshman quarterback Bryce Underwood, who faced his first elite competition. Underwood completed just 37.5% of his passes for 142 yards and an interception, but he showed flashes of brilliance. His best moment came in the third quarter when he launched a 44-yard bomb to Donaven McCulley, setting up a field goal that pulled Michigan within one score at 21-13.

This year, the Sooners return a familiar threat in quarterback John Mateer. The former Washington State transfer was the best player on the field in 2025, torching the Wolverines for 270 passing yards, 74 rushing yards, and three total touchdowns. He'll be a major focus for Michigan's defense.

There's also plenty of offseason drama to spice things up. Standout linebacker Cole Sullivan flipped sides, transferring to Oklahoma after the hiring of Michigan coach Kyle Whittingham. The Wolverines struck back by adding former Sooner Taylor Taum, the top running back prospect from the 2024 class, though he's since moved to the secondary.

With revenge on the line and key players on both sides, this noon kickoff promises to be a must-watch battle. Grab your Wolverines gear and get ready for a September showdown that could shape the entire season.
