Barcelona have lost Lamine Yamal to injury for the rest of the season in what’s a big blow to the Catalan giants ahead of the title run-in.
Hansi Flick’s side do have a healthy nine-point lead at the top of the table but still have six games to play in the Spanish top flight.
Yamal has started 26 of Barcelona’s 32 games this season and been a substitute twice, meaning he’s only missed four games in La Liga in the current campaign.
Yet Barcelona have fared well without Yamal, losing only to Sevilla without their talismanic Spain star.
Barcelona also coped well without Yamal in the Champions League. The teenager only missed the group games against Newcastle and Slavia Prague this season, with Barca running out winners in both matches.
Barcelona will hope they can keep on winning without Lamine in the team. Hansi Flick’s side face away games against Getafe and Osasuna before they welcome Real Madrid to the Camp Nou for El Clasico.
After that, the Catalans wrap up their Liga campaign with fixtures against Alaves, Betis and Valencia.
