Here's the latest on what the Spaniard's golf future may look like now that he has reached an agreement to play DP World Tour events.

Jon Rahm's golf future just got a whole lot more interesting. The Spanish star has officially reached an agreement with the DP World Tour, clearing the way for him to compete in European-based events once again. This news comes at a pivotal moment for the sport, as the LIV Golf circuit faces significant uncertainty after its Saudi-backed funding—provided by the Public Investment Fund (PIF)—was pulled at the end of April.

Rahm, who has stated he has "several" years remaining on his LIV contract, had been sidelined from the DP World Tour due to over $2 million in fines. Those penalties accumulated after he participated in unsanctioned LIV Golf events starting in 2024. But now, with a deal in place and the fines paid, the world No. 21 is expected to return to the fairways of the European tour soon.

This agreement isn't just about playing rights—it also reopens the door for Rahm to represent Team Europe at the Ryder Cup. Previously, his unpaid fines made him ineligible for the prestigious event. Now, if selected, he can compete for Europe at the 2027 Ryder Cup, set to take place at Adare Manor in County Limerick, Ireland.

The DP World Tour confirmed the development in a statement released to Golfweek, noting that they "have come to an agreement on conditional releases to play in conflicting tournaments on LIV." For fans of the sport, this means we could see Rahm back in action on European soil very soon, adding a major name to the tour's lineup this season.
