The Green Bay Packers had to wait more than 24 hours to make any 2026 NFL draft selections. But when the time finally came, general manager Brian Gutekunst used the extra time to strengthen immediate need areas on the roster.
The Packers took South Carolina cornerback Brandon Cisse with the 52nd overall selection in the second round and then traded up to grab Missouri defensive tackle Chris McClellan in the third round with the 77th choice.
Early reactions from both national draft experts and fans were positive as the Packers added speed in the secondary and a run-stopping nose tackle.
