With the 2026 NFL Draft weekend upon us, teams will introduce their latest rookie class to the league in hopes of having them become part of the next Super Bowl puzzle. The draft also means finalizing past trades that included future draft picks. A big one was the trade last month that sent defensive back Sydney Brown from the Philadelphia Eagles to the Atlanta Falcons.

The Eagles used pick 114 to move up in the first round for Makai Lemon.

With the 197th pick, the Eagles traded out for picks 207, 251, and 252.

Brown played in 17 games for the Eagles last season, recording 34 tackles. He also had an impact on special teams. The Eagles felt that their third-round pick from the 2023 draft would not be able to be re-signed in the offseason, so they chose to try to get value for him before he possibly left in free agency.

The Falcons traded the 122nd pick to the Raiders for picks 134 and 208. At 134, they selected Oklahoma LB Kendal Daniels. They used the 208th pick on Washington DT Anterio Thompson.
