Wetsch just wrapped up a career-defining season with the Kelowna Rockets of the Western Hockey League. The 20-year-old winger posted personal WHL bests across the board—50 assists and 72 points—while also lighting the lamp 33 times. As team captain, he led a Rockets squad stacked with NHL prospects, including 2024 sixth-overall pick Tij Iginla. Standing 6-foot-2 and known for his physical, heart-and-soul style, Wetsch is the kind of player every contender needs in the bottom six.

There's a special connection here, too. Wetsch grew up in North Vancouver with Sharks superstar Macklin Celebrini, and the two have been chasing their NHL dreams side by side.
