Borussia Dortmund fans, meet your new defensive powerhouse! In his first interview since joining the Black and Yellows, the club's latest signing opens up about his passion for defending, his admiration for the iconic Yellow Wall, and his dreams of winning titles at Signal Iduna Park.

First Impressions of BVB's Home
When asked about the stadium, his eyes lit up. "It's very impressive. I think it's beautiful. The stadium is huge. I can't wait to play here in front of all those people, in front of all the fans. When we score a goal, when we defend, the fans make us happy." It's clear the energy of Dortmund's supporters is already fueling his fire.

Why BVB?
For this young talent, the choice was simple. "I think BVB is one of the biggest clubs in the world. The club has a great mentality." It's a mentality that aligns perfectly with his own approach to the game.

A Defender's Mentality
Make no mistake: this is a player who lives for the grind. "I'm a defensive player. I like the defensive work. Defending is right up my street and I'm always ready to defend. Simply always." And he believes that grit will win over the Dortmund faithful. "I think so. I can win them over with my defensive work. When I make a sliding tackle, when I do my job. That's exactly what I like. And I think the fans will like that too."

Memories of Dortmund's Champions League Heroics
Having come through the ranks at Paris Saint-Germain, he witnessed Dortmund's dramatic Champions League victory in 2024 firsthand. "When Süle cleared that ball, it was mad. It was a really good game." That moment of pure defensive determination clearly left a mark.

Inspiration from the Greats
When it comes to role models, he looks to the best. "When I was younger, I often watched Sergio Ramos or Marquinhos. I'm inspired by his mentality. The guy just wants to defend his goal as if it were his own home. It belongs to him, so he defends the goal as if his life depended on it." And he brings that same intensity to the pitch. "When I'm on the pitch, our goal is like my own home to me. It's as if I have to protect my little brother. Nobody's getting in here."

Dreams in Black and Yellow
His ambitions are as big as the club's. "Personally, I want to become as good as I possibly can. I want to win as often as possible, win lots of titles and play lots of games for this club. That's my dream."

Learning the Language
And how about his German? With a smile, he admits, "Ein wenig, ja. How are you, a bit, hello. I can do that already, but I still need to keep learning." The journey is just beginning, and we can't wait to see him protect that goal like it's his own.
