The Portsmouth High School baseball team put on a clinic Wednesday, with senior standout Zavier Lampert leading the charge in a dominant 10-0 shutout of Windham. Lampert was the story of the game, both on the mound and at the plate, striking out seven batters while allowing just two hits over six innings of work. At the dish, he crushed a three-run homer in the fifth inning and finished with four RBIs, showing the kind of two-way talent that makes him a player to watch.

The Clippers broke the game open early, thanks to a clutch moment from Blaze Bocash. With two outs and two strikes, Bocash cleared the bases with a double, giving Portsmouth a 3-0 lead that set the tone for the rest of the afternoon. Hugh Herter and Jackson Hooper each added two hits, with Hooper driving in a run in the sixth inning to seal the win under the 10-run rule.

Portsmouth improves to 4-9 on the season, while Windham drops to 6-6. It was a much-needed bounce-back performance for the Clippers, who are looking to build momentum as the season progresses.

Elsewhere around the Seacoast, Exeter's Nolan Engler was nearly untouchable, striking out nine over five innings while allowing just two hits in a Division I victory over Manchester. Adam Carella led the Blue Hawks' offense with three hits, an RBI, and two runs scored, while Ray Plante drove in three runs. Exeter moves to 9-5 on the year.

In Londonderry, Dover's nine-game winning streak came to a halt after the hosts rallied for three runs in the sixth inning to break a 3-3 tie. Logan Mosher had two hits and two RBIs for Dover (11-3), while Tyler Buchanan tossed four innings, allowing three runs (two earned).

Spaulding fell to 7-6 after a 3-1 loss to Rochester, despite a strong outing from James Mabey. He pitched six innings, allowing just three unearned runs while striking out two. Evan Trepanier drove in the Red Raiders' lone run with a single.

Up in Maine, York built a 2-0 lead after three innings but couldn't hold on, as Lake Region scored in each of the final four frames to rally for a Class B South win. The Wildcats will look to regroup after a tough loss.
