ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter provided an update on how undrafted Vanderbilt quarterback Diego Pavia views the rookie minicamp invite he was given by the Baltimore Ravens.
In a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee show, Schefter said that this situation is not what Pavia wanted, but he's looking forward to the opportunity.
"I'm sure that he is disappointed that he didn't get drafted, of course," Schefter said. "To me that's a good opportunity in Baltimore this week, and the Ravens currently have two quarterbacks on their roster, Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. They don't have a third, to me that's a good opportunity. It's not what he wanted, but I always feel like it's more important where you go, not where you go in the draft, and if he can go and impress them and get signed into the roster, I like that opportunity."

Pavia went undrafted after being one of the more polarizing figures in all of college football.
Although he was a Heisman Trophy finalist this past season, Pavia did not hear his name called and will now attend the Ravens rookie camp.
Pavia became the first Heisman Trophy finalist to go undrafted since Northern Illinois quarterback Jordan Lynchin 2014.
The 24-year-old was phenomenal last season for the Commodores. Pavia led them to a 10-3 record, the first double-digit win season in school history. He was named first-team All-American and SEC Offensive Player of the Year after throwing 29 touchdowns and rushing for 10 more.
Now, Pavia will do his best to impress the Ravens to possibly earn a spot on their roster.
