Mitch Marner scored one of the most ridiculous playoff goals in recent memory, sliding the puck between his own legs in a Vegas Golden Knights win.

In a moment that will be replayed for years, Mitch Marner pulled off one of the most jaw-dropping playoff goals in recent memory—slipping the puck between his own legs to help the Vegas Golden Knights clinch their second-round series against the Anaheim Ducks.

The magic happened just 62 seconds into Game 6, a 5-1 victory that sealed the series 4-2 and punched Vegas's ticket to the Western Conference Final. With the crowd still settling in, Marner took a long, perfectly placed pass from William Karlsson and skated into the offensive zone with Ducks defenseman Jackson LaCombe tight on his back.

What came next was pure artistry. Turning his back to the net, Marner faked right, drawing goalie Lukas Dostal out of position. Then, in one fluid motion, he slid the puck left and batted it between his own legs—right past LaCombe's glove and into the top corner. The arena erupted.

"I tried to do that move and, luckily enough, it worked out," Marner said with a grin after the game.

That early strike set the tone for a dominant first period. Marner added an assist on a short-handed goal by Brett Howden just over seven minutes later, and Shea Theodore capitalized on a power play with under three minutes left in the frame. By the end of the first, Vegas was up 3-0 and in full control.

The Ducks pushed back in the second, with Mikael Granlund scoring on the power play to cut the lead to 3-1. But goaltender Carter Hart stood tall, stopping 31 of 32 shots on the night—including 28 over the final two periods when Anaheim poured on the pressure.

Pavel Dorofeyev sealed the win with two goals in the third period, sending the Golden Knights to the next round and giving fans a highlight they won't soon forget.

"It obviously feels great," Marner added. "We worked extremely hard for all these little goals we set throughout the year. Another one achieved. Obviously the work keeps getting harder and harder. We gotta take these couple days, whatever we have, try to refuel and refresh."

For the Golden Knights, this wasn't just a series win—it was a statement. And for Marner, it was a goal that will live in playoff lore, the kind of creativity and skill that makes hockey unforgettable.
